Job Summary
We're seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing individual who loves honey, honeybees, and connecting with people to represent our local honey products at farmers markets, festivals, and pop-up events. As the face of our brand, you'll handle all aspects of event-day operations, from setup to sales to breakdown, while sharing the story of our bees and products. This is a hands-on, people-focused role perfect for someone who enjoys outdoor events, education, and making sales in a fun, community setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicle to and from events (valid driver's license and clean record required).
- Set up and arrange the tent, tables, signage, displays, and product inventory to create an inviting, professional booth.
- Provide product samples, engage customers, educate them about our honey varieties (e.g., raw, infused, hot honey), bees, beekeeping practices and the benefits of local honey.
- Answer questions knowledgeably and enthusiastically to build interest and trust.
- Handle sales transactions (cash, card, etc.), process payments accurately, and manage inventory/restocking throughout the event.
- Break down the booth at the end of the day, pack everything securely and return to base location.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive booth appearance at all times.
- Represent our brand positively and comply with market/festival rules, food safety guidelines, and any local regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Passion for honey, honeybees and local agriculture—must genuinely love talking about bees and bee products!
- Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; enjoys interacting with the public of all ages.
- Physically able to lift up to 35 lbs repeatedly (tents, boxes of jars, tables, etc.) and stand/walk for extended periods (4–8 hours per event).
- Reliable transportation (or willingness to drive company vehicle) and flexible availability for weekend events (typically Saturdays/Sundays, occasionally on weekdays).
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.).
- Basic math skills for handling cash and making change.
- Previous sales, customer service, market or event experience is a plus but not required—we'll train the right person!
- Knowledge or willingness to learn safe sampling practices preferred.
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly pay (plus bonuses based on sales performance).
- Flexible, fun schedule tied to exciting local events.
- Opportunity to learn about beekeeping and honey production firsthand.
- Free/discounted honey products and the satisfaction of supporting a local, bee-friendly business.
